Young Interns Program 2015

Applications are invited for Young Interns Program 2015 from the students studying in reputed educational institutions and young entrepreneurs/ innovators/ employees of private sector/ self-employed professionals/ scholars/ educators/ any other on sabbatical leave. This program is an excellent opportunity for bright students to familiarize themselves with the process of policy formulation and its implementation in the field.

This is only an internship program and does not provide any type of employment or guarantee any employment in future. Duration of the internship would range from 2 to 6 months for students and 1 to 2 years for other categories. Stipend shall be paid to the candidates selected for internship.

Eligibility Criteria For Selection:

• Graduate or Post-graduate student in the field of Development Studies/International Development/ Political Science/ Economics/ Sociology/ Public Policy/ Finance/ Management/ Communications from a reputed University.
• Young entrepreneurs, innovators, employees of private firms/ companies/ think tanks, self-employed professionals (Lawyers, Engineers, Doctors, Social Scientists, Educators etc). Also scholars or educators or any other on Sabbatical leave.
• Excellent communication/ presentation / intra-personal skills.
• Well versed Information Technology skills (MS Office including MS Word,Power Point, Excel and other similar programs on alternative platforms).
• Age between 18-35 years (on 01.01.2016).
• 1-2 years of development experience in working with a non-profit, communitybased organization, Charity/ Philanthropic organization, Aid agencies, Multilateral/ Bilateral agencies etc. will be an advantage.

Stipend:

• The selected Interns will be given a lump-sum stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month if internship taken is of less than 3 months and 30,000 per month for the entire period if it is of more than 3 months duration.
• Candidates on sabbatical leave may be given accommodation at Transit Hostel,
  Gandhi Nagar, Jaipur in addition.
• Interns may also be engaged as Consultant to specific projects.
